Black History Week

Black History Week

150 150 Beata

Every year we celebrate Black History Week. As part of the celebrations we held a day full of music and workshops that explored the history and culture of many different countries. Our young people took part in dance workshops and found out all about Bhangra dancing. They also explored African drums and steel drums within a music session and used their skills to make jewellery with our special visitors.

We had a great day and the children worked together to learn about each other’s cultural heritage. We can’t wait for Black History Week to come around again in 2017.
